In student belief, there is a widely held perception that passing exams are straightforward while getting good grades is challenging. This statement is accurate because the tests are challenging, and students must work hard to receive high grades.

A student can, however, prepare effectively while devoting less time and effort to the proper guidance and approaches. To do this, you must adhere to the following study advice:

Before we begin with the exam-clearing advice, let’s first grasp the fundamentals. For you to pass the IGCSE, your basics must be straightforward. Let’s start.

What’s Cambridge IGCSE?

Before beginning pre-university education, students should get the prestigious worldwide International General Certificate of Secondary Education (often called IGCSE).

It is the University of Cambridge’s officially recognized trademark. IGCSE provides 70 courses in total. Students can choose from a minimum of 5 disciplines and 14 subjects. However, the familiar and required subjects that every student must select are science, math, and English.

What are Cambridge International AS/A Levels?

A-level stands for “Advanced Level” and is an academic qualification that started in the UK and has spread to several other countries. It is earned by passing an exam. A-levels are subject-based, just like the GCSE and IGCSE.

A-levels are taken around age 18 instead of 16 for the (I)GCSE (at the end of year 13). A-levels allow students to focus on a few subjects in more depth, and many universities require that students pass them to get in. Most students who want to get in must take at least three A-levels.

Now that you know the exam, let’s discuss how to get an A* so you can pursue your passion.

IGCSE is a challenging exam and has significance. Long-term planning is required to reach your desired score or rank.

You need to approach your preparation with consistency and focus. Even though you can take study breaks and short rest periods, you should devote most of your day to IGCSE preparation.

You must also review and practice the material after studying it. Putting it off and returning to it only after the final exams may cause you to forget the subject altogether. So it is advised to practice and review frequently.

CAIE Exams: What Should You Know?

Here are a few short and valuable recommendations for achieving the required mark in this challenging entrance exam.

  • Your preparation should be complete three months before the final exam. The last three months should be devoted entirely to revision and mock exams.
  • Always use approved textbooks and sources for more trustworthy and effective IGCSE preparation.
  • Group studies are beneficial. Learning is more effective when many minds are working together.
  • Take the appropriate tutoring or enroll in the top classes to assist you in passing the exam.
  • Every day, take online IGCSE practice tests to improve your preparedness.
  • Solve previous year’s question papers to better understand the subject and issue.
  • Make sure you thoroughly read through the entire question sheet before beginning to solve the paper.

  • Always include a graph or diagram to explain your point for each question (significantly larger ones with more points).
  • All graphs and diagrams must be clearly labeled.
  • Always pay attention to punctuation, grammar, and spelling. During exams, the odds of making such foolish blunders increase.
