AS and A-level History are flexible and comprehensive curricula that emphasize building lifelong skills, including comprehending topics and themes within a historical period. They also help in acquiring knowledge and skills at IGCSE or O-level.

Structure of AS/A Level History
AS and A-level History is divided into 4 papers as discussed below:
Paper 1
It is a 40-mark question paper in which candidates are required to answer one two-part document question on one of the below options:

- A Level: 20%
Paper 2
It is a 60-mark paper in which candidates are required to answer two two-part questions from one of the above-mentioned three options.
- AS Level: 60%
- A Level: 30%
Paper 3
It is a 40-mark question paper in which candidates are required to answer one interpretation question on one of the three below-mentioned options.
- Option 1: The origins of the First World War
- Option 2: The Holocaust
- Option 3: The origins and development of the Cold War
- A Level: 20%
Paper 4
It is a 60-mark question paper in which candidates answer two questions on their chosen depth study. There are three options available for a depth study.
- Depth Study 1: European Option
- Depth Study 2: American Option
- Depth Study 3: International Option
- A Level: 30%
