The IB (International Baccalaureate) recognizes the importance of English as a language and requires its students to study it in all its flagship programs, which are PYP, MYP, and DP.

Structure of IBDP English (L & L)
In IB, At The DP Stage, The Students Are Required To Study English (Language And Literature) At Two Different Levels, Which Are The Higher Level And Standard Level.
At Both These Levels, Students Are Assessed Via Two Different Types Of Assessments
- Internal Assessment - 20%
- External Assessment - 80%
To fulfill the requirements of the DP, students must study one of the three courses in the studies in language and literature group.
- Language A: Literature
- Language A: Language & Literature
- Literature and Performance
Note: every world schools aren’t offering language A: language & literature. The IBDP English (language and literature) course is divided further into four different parts that are to be studied at both higher level and standard level.
