IBDP geography syllabus appreciates the diversity and change in the globe and create global perspective among learners. IBDP geography is a connecting link between social science and natural sciences and learners are introduced to learn scienctific and socio-economic methodologies.

Importance of IBDP Geography
Geography is a critical study of economics, political systems, and landscapes. The primary aims of studying IBDP Geography are:
- Understanding the relationships between people, places, and their environment
- Becoming aware of the geographic issues, physical processes, and man-made problems
- Gaining geographic knowledge and determining how the issues can be resolved
- Acquire critical thinking ability to solve complex problems
Structure of IBDP Geography
In IB, at the DP stage, students are required to study Geography at two different levels, which are the Higher Level and the Lower Level.
At Both These Levels, Students Are Assessed Via Two Different Types Of Assessments
- Internal Assessment -20%
- External Assessment -80%
In the Internal Assessment at both HL and SL, the students are required to do fieldwork and prepare a written report based on analysis and evaluation. Whereas, the external assessment requires the students to appear in different papers, As IB rule.
