  • Only Class 12 pass-outs or those appearing in 2023 can apply for JEE Main 2023, with no minimum pass percentage required.

Exam Pattern:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • To qualify for JEE Advanced 2022, candidates must pass JEE Main 2022 B.E./B.Tech. And rank among the top 2,50,000 in all categories. GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD have different cutoffs. 
  • Applicants born after Oct. 1, 1997, qualify, with SC, ST, and PwD receiving a five-year age relaxation. 
  • Candidates can attempt JEE (Advanced) twice within two consecutive years, provided they have taken the Class XII (or equivalent) exam in 2021 or 2022 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. 
  • New 12th graders who took the 2020 or 2021 test and qualified for JEE Advanced 2021 but missed both papers can take JEE Advanced 2022. IIT-admitted or revoked candidates are not eligible.

Exam Pattern:

JEE Advanced questions are challenging and tricky, designed to test theoretical knowledge, reasoning, comprehension, and analytical skills. Becoming acquainted with the exam and question paper early on is crucial. 

  • The test is conducted online (computer-based) and requires primary computer and mouse skills. Candidates click the correct option using the mouse. 
  • The exam contains two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. JEE Advanced Papers 1 and 2 have 54 questions each, divided into Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics sections with 18 questions each. 
  • The exam has 306 marks, with each paper having 183 effects and a 3-hour duration in Hindi/English.
